Karina Muscarina
Karina Muscarina, lives and works in México City as a graphic designer for Comision Mexicana de Defensa y Promocion de los Derechos Humanos (Mexican Commission for the Defense and Promotion of Human Rights) and freelancer photographer and videographer. After finishing her estudies on visual communication degree, she continued enriching her basic knowledge with philosophy, photography and motion graphic classes. Always with vision of investing its time and work contributing in projects for social cause, Karina begins volunteering in the non-profit organization, Espolea in 2009, being integrated later as a graphic designer with ReverdeSer Colectivo and Programa de Análisis de Sustancias (Program of Analysis of Substances), working on P.A.S visual identity and support graphic material for both organizations. In 2016 she collaborates in her first video as a member of the Drugreporter Video Advocacy Network, doing a coverage of the Global Ibogaine Conference in Tepoztlán, after that she contributes in “A Day in: The World of Humans Who Use Drugs” as a photographer in Mexico’s part, seeking to give voice to illegal drug users as humans with rights. For now its in the production of Psychedelic Science 2017 video report and collaborating for a video about forced disappearing victims in México.
