Produced in cooperation between Drugreporter and ICRSE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Crossings - Stories of Migrant Sex Workers\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gthi8ks_It0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The film tells the untold stories of five people from five European countries (Serbia, Macedonia, France, Spain, and Norway) who come from very diverse backgrounds but have something in common &#8211; all of them are migrants who sell sex. By sharing their experiences as women, men, migrants, LGBT people, single mothers, Muslims, Roma and sex workers, they challenge the sensationalist portrayal of all sex workers as \u201cprostituted women\u201d and \u201ctrafficking victims\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The documentary highlights common myths around sex work and preconceptions about sex workers. It does so by reflecting on the current trends sex workers &#8211; and other marginalised groups &#8211; face in Europe: increasing hostility to migrants and refugees, growing populism, cuts and austerity, and backlash against women\u2019s and LGBT rights.
