{"id":6381,"date":"2016-09-06T09:38:09","date_gmt":"2016-09-06T09:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/drogriporter.hu\/a-global-conference-on-ibogaine\/"},"modified":"2022-07-04T14:31:12","modified_gmt":"2022-07-04T12:31:12","slug":"a-global-conference-on-ibogaine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/drogriporter.hu\/en\/a-global-conference-on-ibogaine\/","title":{"rendered":"A Global Conference on Ibogaine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This movie is featuring the\u00a0Global Ibogaine Conference that was held\u00a0in Mexico in March,\u00a0filmed by\u00a0a member of Drugreporter&#8217;s new global video network and an alumni of our video advocacy training, Brun Balanced and his peers,\u00a0Karina Muscarina and\u00a0Gabriel Amezcua.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Global\u00a0Ibogaine\u00a0Conference has emerged as one of the most\u00a0important events in the world for discussing\u00a0ibogaine\u00a0therapy, the overall climate of drug policy, its relationship with plant-based medicines &#8211; as well as the sustainability and traditional use of this African\u00a0plant with\u00a0psychedelic and medicinal properties, tabernanthe\u00a0iboga, which has\u00a0shown amazing beneficial effects, as yet unknown in other plants\u00a0or substances.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/prRB5-XhcOA\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Organised by the Global\u00a0Ibogaine\u00a0Therapy Alliance (GITA), this year&#8217;s\u00a0conference was held in the magical colonial village of Tepoztlan,\u00a0Mexico, between March 14-16th, and brought together more than 500 people\u00a0from around the world. This mini-documentary allows us to appreciate\u00a0the reasons why this conference marks a historic moment in the\u00a0research of tabernanthe\u00a0iboga. Never before has an\u00a0ibogaine\u00a0conference attracted so many people, and generated such a multidisciplinary and diverse\u00a0atmosphere in terms of the profiles of speakers and contributors.<\/p>\n<p>Through the words of key figures from the world of\u00a0ibogaine,\u00a0such as\u00a0Dana Beal, Dennis McKenna, Norma Lotsof, Jonathan Dickinson, Jeffrey\u00a0Kamlet, and Dimitri Mugianis, among others, this\u00a0documentary manages to\u00a0convey the complexity of the issues addressed and the extensive\u00a0expertise of the participants.
