“A Drug-Free World: We Can Do It!” – This was the slogan of a UN General Assembly meeting in New York in 1998. They adopted an action plan to eliminate or significantly reduce the demand for and supply of illicit drugs within 10 years. In 2009, they renewed this action plan, to be reevaluated in 2019. Many of the world’s leaders still believe that with criminalisation and repression we can get rid of illegal drugs once and for all – but history teaches us otherwise. In this video we will present to you 5 reasons why the pursuit of a world free of drugs is not only an utter failure, but a harmful experience for humankind.
