Czech NGO Legalizace.cz stands out for legislative dividing of drugs according to their degree of health and social dangerousness, respectively for legalization of cannabis, cannabis products and its derivatives. The Legalizace.cz associates private and juridical persons for organizing lobbyist, cultural a social events with the goal to promote cannabis. Legalizace.cz organizes the Czech Million Marijuana March – the worldwide demonstration for legalization of cannabis. The civil association is among others member of Encod.org (European Coalition for Just and Effective Drug Policies) and works closely with Czech initiative Konopijelek.cz (Cannabis is a medicine), which aims for decriminalization of cannabis for medical purposes.
Our goal is to mainly draw attention to nonsensical and unjust criminal prosecution of petty marijuana growers resulting from the insufficiencies and obsolete approach in drug laws and we call publicly for these necessary reforms:
• The legalization of the cultivation and possession of marijuana for medical purposes
• The legalization of the cultivation and possession of marijuana for personal use
• The freedom to cultivate marijuana for the purpose of scientific research
• To introduce the regulated and taxed sale of marijuana in specialized stores for adults
• To end the judicial persecution of everyone accused and/or imprisoned in connection with marijuana
• To objectively and pertinently inform the public about marijuana, its risks and medical effects

The UNGASS on Drugs: Reform Aborted
