Listen to “What is psychedelic integration coaching? – An interview with Márton Mányai” on Spreaker.Based in Basel, Switzerland, Mányai, MCC, is an International Coaching Federation Master Certified Coach with more than 17 years of international experience. With a background in theology, leadership coaching, and certification as a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI, Boulder, Colorado), he brings several perspectives to this emerging field.
The conversation explores how coaches can support people in finding personal meaning and translating insights into changes in their relationships, work and everyday choices. Mányai emphasises that clients should develop their own interpretations, without a coach imposing answers.
Professional boundaries are central to the discussion. How does coaching differ from psychotherapy? When should a coach refer someone to a mental health professional? And how can supervision and ethical accountability help protect clients?
Mányai also introduces ICPIC — the Institute for Certified Psychedelic Integration Coaching, which he founded, and whose Phase One Specialisation received ICF accreditation for 40 Continuing Coach Education hours in 2026, the first ICF-accredited training in psychedelic integration coaching — and his forthcoming book on responsible integration practice, currently under peer review at Routledge. Watch the interview for a closer look at what coaching can contribute before and after psychedelic experiences, and where its limits lie.
