Drugreporter Film Sessions at the Harm Reduction International Conference: Call For Submissions!

The Rights Reporter Foundation and Harm Reduction International now welcomes entries to the Drugreporter Film Sessions at the 25th Harm Reduction International Conference!/Rights Reporter Foundation et Harm Reduction International accueillent les propositions de films et de vidéos pour les séances Drugreporter à la 25e Conférence internationale en réduction des méfaits!

The 25th Harm Reduction International Conference will be held in Montreal on 14-17 May, 2017. The Drugreporter Film Sessions will provide an opportunity for participants to watch and discuss thought-provoking films about harm reduction and drug policies produced by film makers and activists from all over the world.

We are now accepting submissions to the film sessions for screening. The deadline for applications is the 20th of April! 

– No entry fee for applications
– Entry forms must be filled in in English
– Film must be subtitled in English
– Production dates should be between 1st of January 2016 and 20th of March 2017
– A separate application must be made for each film
– Films that have already been presented at earlier events and published online ARE eligible

Nine films will be selected for screening at the conference by the Rights Reporter Foundation and Harm Reduction International, based on the following criteria:

– the film’s message shall promote the philosophy and practice of harm reduction
– the film shall exhibit sensitivity to the human rights of people who use drugs
– quality of the movie
– creativity of the production

Séances de films et vidéos Drugreporter à la Conférence internationale en réduction des méfaits: appel de propositions! 

Rights Reporter Foundation et Harm Reduction International accueillent les propositions de films et de vidéos pour les séances Drugreporter à la 25e Conférence internationale en réduction des méfaits!

La 25e Conférence internationale en réduction des méfaits se tiendra à Montréal du 14 au 17 mai 2017. Produits et réalisés par des cinéastes et des activistes du monde entier, les séances Drugreporter offriront l’occasion pour les participants de visionner et discuter de films et vidéos suscitant la réflexion sur les questions de la réduction des méfaits et des politiques sur les drogues.

La date limite pour déposer vos propositions est le 20 avril 2017!

–    Il n’y a aucun frais pour soumettre une ou des propositions
–    Les formulaires d’inscription doivent être complétés en anglais
–    Une demande distincte doit être déposée pour chaque film ou vidéo.
–    Le film ou vidéo doit être sous-titré en anglais
–    Les productions soumises doivent avoir été réalisées entre le 1er janvier 2016 et le 20 mars 2017
–    Les films et vidéos déjà présentés lors d’événements antérieurs et publiés en ligne sont admissibles

Neuf films ou vidéos seront sélectionnés pour projection à la conférence Rights Reporter Foundation et Harm Reduction International, sur la base des critères suivants:

–    Le message doit promouvoir la philosophie et la pratique de la réduction des méfaits
–    Le message doit faire preuve de sensibilité aux droits humains des personnes utilisatrices des drogues
–    La qualité du film ou de la vidéo
–    La créativité de la production
