The Mediamonitor program of the HCLU has been selected from the near 200 programs to belong to the best 15, and has been awarded with the prize of a 1000 Euros.

The programs aim is to improve the quality of Hungarian drug related media. We constantly monitoring the press and other media and react on drug related biases, stereotypes and misunderstandings with science based facts. Each time we react, we cite the appropriate sources that journalists may use in order to improve and deepen their knowledge in the field. Through raising awareness on the issue of credibility we aim at fighting stigmatization and try to give such information that would effectively help reducing drugs and drug policy related harm.
